I was born in February 1986 in the warm and beautiful city of Freiburg in South Germany. I grew up in Heilbronn and finished my schooling before finally studying pharmacy at Jena in Central Germany. I discovered photography for myself as a hobby because I was always upset by the quality of my old pocket digicam which I, in a rage, smashed against the wall of my flat leading to its funeral. It was clear that I had to learn photography so I bought magazines, read articles and tried a lot outside my house, constantly improving but never feeling really satisfied.
I had my very first chance to move forward when I had a nice trip combination to London and Istanbul. This trip gave me a start on architecture and portrait photography. I rapidly realized that my skill level overtook the size and options of my equipment... so I upgraded to give my skill more room every time there was a new camera or lens. Then I decided to travel around the world. This was mainly due to the fact that there was never any real chance to travel for a long time to any distance during my studies. I finally upgraded to an FF which has given me all I need for my type of photography: landscapes and portraits.
